Are winter tyres any good?

The short answer is YES!  Recent tests show that a vehicle fitted with winter tyres can stop up to 11 metres shorter than a vehicle not fitted with them, when braking in icy conditions.

Thats the length of a bus and could be the difference between going home or going to Hospital.
